High School marching band is over, but DRUM CORPS has just started! Brooke tried out and was accepted into the color guard of the touring competitive marching band organization the Vanguards Cadets! She has been practicing 12 hour days 7 days a week for many weeks now. Weekend practices once a month have been going on since December. All that practicing has made them spectacular! We have also had Alexis, one of the color guard members staying with us. She's from Virginia and is fascinated with the tall trees we have here on the West Coast, so on their one day off, we went to see the California Redwoods and the beach.
